A pilot was forced to make an emergency landing after a fight broke-out when a passenger wouldn’t stop farting. The flight from Dubai to Amsterdam made an unscheduled stop in Vienna as the elderly overweight man reportedly refused to contain himself in the packed out cabin. According to MirrorOnline, fight occurred on the flight when two Dutchman who were sitting next to the flatulent man told him to stop and complained to Transavia Airlines crew. Yet despite repeated requests and even a direct order from the pilot the man carried on and a fight broke out. The pilot of the Dutch low-cost airline then decided to make an emergency landing at Vienna International Airport in Austria. Officers boarded the plane with police dogs and four suspects were escorted off the plane. The serial and notorious killer, Adeola Williams, alias Ade Lawyer, who was arrested by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police’ (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) – has been paraded at the Lagos state police command. A section of the technical room of the National Assembly’s Senate wing is currently on fire. The technical room is located at the ground floor of the Assembly compound. Staff and other workers are currently leaving their offices to avoid being trapped as smoke fills up the walkways. Senators who were initially seated in the gallery area have also moved out. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Staff are making attempts to put out the fire with fire extinguishers. One staff member familiar with the technical room said the fire started at where air conditioners units serving the assembly are kept.

Controversy is trailing the disappearance of $100,000 from the coffers of Nigeria’s examination board. The exam board alleges that a clerk in Benue State has blamed a snake for swallowing the missing money. The money was supposed to be remitted to the agency. Fabian Benjamin, spokesman of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, told CNN that a staffer confessed to auditors a snake had “swallowed” the missing money. “She confessed that she had the money, kept it in a vault in the office but a snake came and swallowed the money,” Benjamin told CNN. “The staff and others in her category that are found culpable have been suspended and will be handed over to appropriate authorities,” he added. The clerk, identified as Philomena Chiesche, denied the allegations, saying the exam board invented the story about the snake. A Consultant Pharmacist, Dr Clever Okeke has warned that the use of Tramadol to get high or for delayed ejaculation could lead to depression and irrational behaviour. The management of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, is yet to come to terms with an explanation by an official in the Makurdi, Benue office of the Board that proceeds from the sale of admission scratch cards in the state, totaling N36million have been swallowed from the cash vault by a mystery snake that comes in the night. The mystery snake was said to have sneaked into the account office of the Board in Makurdi, a number of time, and made away with the N36m. A sales clerk, Philomina Chieshe, told JAMB registrar and his team that she could not account for the N36m she made in previous years before the abolition of scratch cards. In the course of interrogation, Philomena denied the allegations that she stole the money.

A 24-year-old woman, Bimpe Adeite, who allegedly stole a generator valued N70,000 belonging to a male friend, risks three-year imprisonment if found guilty. The court heard that Adeite sold the generator and spent the proceeds on hair and skin creams. The accused was, on Friday, brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, on a charge of stealing. Her address is unknown.
